- according to us nursing students: it is used to describe something that is tiring, hard, maraming patients, mahirap na exam, terror na prof at kung anu-ano pa. :p

This past few days, I can say na toxic talaga ang mga araw na 'yun.

Bakit?

Last Friday we had our duty sa ward. Super toxic talaga kami, ang daming patient at nakakapagod talaga, I can't imagine myself standing and walking for 12 hours, paano ba naman every 2 hours ang kuha ko ng vital signs ng patient ko, konti lang yata 'yung times na nakaupo ako sa dami ng ginagawa. At nakakagutom rin, hehe, sa buong 12 hours na 'yun we only had our break once and super bilis lang almost 30 minutes lang. Kaya pag medyo konti ang ginagawa patago na lang akong kumain ng snacks. Haha. Nasugatan pa ang thumb ko, sa pag-prepare ko ng medication pag-break ko ng ampule 'ayun na-break talaga sya sa kamay ko as in durog sya. Ewan ko ba sabi nga ng C.I ko.. "Toxic ka ah!" Hehe. Di ko kinaya ang bonggang-bonggang gutom at pagod!

After my duty I headed to the church agad for the evening watch. Akala ko nga di ako makaka-attend kasi medyo late na kami naka pag-out sa duty pero praise God naka-attend pa rin ako. Konti lang kami na naka-attend sa evening watch pero okay lang sabi nga ni Jesus sa Matthew 18:20 ""For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them". Kaya we're super blessed. At dahil dun nabaliwala lahat ng pagod at toxicity ko that day. Si kuya Bong (ang kuya-kuyahan ko na bf ng cousin ko) ang speaker because it was his birthday. Hehe. Ang title ng message nya ay "Survivor" about Acts 26, before kasi nya 'yung cousin ko ang speaker about Acts 25 ang title naman nya ay "Believe, Trust, Be Saved". Hindi kasi sila prepared pareho sa message nila, and in fact 'yung title nilang dalawa ay ang theme ng ginawa naming evangelism two weeks ago which was "Believe, Trust, Be Saved: SURVIVOR! Haha galing nila noh. So after the evening watch, we had a small salu-salo as kuya Bong's treat to us. Ü

Kanina naman, we had our in-house review courtesy of Grandeur Review center . Toxic ga eh, because we had 4 sets of "board-exam" type pre-test (Maternal and Child Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Medical and SurgicalNursing Practice Part I, and Professional Adjustment and Nurising Research) with 100 questions each, so all in all 400 items. Woah, pre-test lang un ah, and meron pang 4 sets of exam next week. Waah! Actually we did't expect that pre-test exam, we thought na isang exam lang hindi pala. Haha. Nerve wracking talaga.

Medyo naisip ko na nga na I need to study very hard na talaga for the board exam, pero I'm not yet sure kung ready na ba ako to take the board exam this June or sa November na lang. Whether sa June man or November I hope na maipasa ko ang board exam na 'yun and I'm praying for it, basta let His will be done.
